Day 587-591 - Nature at it’s best
The Cordillera Blanca is our first real highlight in Peru and we’ve been looking forward to it for quite some time now. The Cordillera Blanca (white cordillera) got it’s name because of countless snow-capped mountains and glaciers it is home to. And it’s beauty is just breathtaking. We spent four days riding gravel roads to the other side of the mountain range and back, surrounded by an incredible tranquility and peacefulness. I think there is no comparable feeling than that when you find yourself in a vast mountain landscape and feel so very, very small. The are the moments that somehow put things into perspective.

Tag 587-591 - Wo die Natur ihr Bestes gegeben hat
Die Cordillera Blanca ist unser erstes Peru-Highlight, auf das wir uns schon seit einer Weile freuen. Die Cordillera Blanca (Weiße Cordillera) heisst so, weil sie Heimat unzähliger schneebedeckter Gipfel und Gletscher ist und sie ist einfach atemberaubend schön. Vier Tage ging es über Schottenpisten einmal hin und einmal zurück über den Gebirgszug, umgeben von einer unglaublichen Ruhe und Friedlichkeit. Ich glaube es gibt kein vergleichbares Gefühl zu dem wenn man in einer weiten Berglandschaft steht und sich ganz, ganz klein fühlt. Es sind diese Momente, die irgendwie alles in Perspektive setzen.
