Last preparations
Daniel has been working on the bikes for several weeks. Trying to get them as fit as possible for the long trip. Especially Yolanda, the classic lady needed some work done. Breaks and cables had to be checked, oils changed, the side stand and seat optimised and much more. And she also got a new fancy (self invented) luggage rack that allows very comfortable access to the panniers while the big bag full of camping equipment ist still strapped to it.
On april fools day SuperMarianne and Yolanda take the lead and start their journey to the “New World” on a carrier called “Electra” Daniel took them to Bremerhaven and had to leave them in a huge unattendet parking lot, keys in the ignition and just walk away.
Trying to overcome the anxiety of separation we just hope for the best…

Die letzten Vorbereitungen
Daniel hat mehrere Wochen lang an den Bikes geschraubt. Besonders Yolanda, die klassische Lady, brauchte einiges an Arbeit. Die Bremsen und sämtliche Kabel mußten gecheckt werden, die Öle gewechselt, Seitenständer und Sitzbank optimiert und vieles mehr. Außerdem hat sie eine schicke neue (selbst erfundene) Gepäckbrücke bekommen. Jetzt kommt man ganz bequem an das Gepäck in den Koffern, auch wenn die große Tasche mit Campingzeug draufgeschnallt ist.
Am 1. April machen sich SuperMarianne und Yolanda schon mal auf die Reise in die “Neu Welt” auf einem Schiff namens “Electra”. Daniel hat die beiden nach Bremerhaven gebracht und mußte sie dort auf einem riesigen unbewachten Parkplatz abstellen, mit den Schlüsseln in der Zündung.
Wir versuchen unsere Verlustängste zu verdrängen und hoffen auf das Beste…
