Day 606 - The poor man’s Galapagos Islands
We payed the Ballestas Islands a short visit to see for ourselves if they live up to their inofficial by-name „poor man’s Galapagos“. Obviously it’s hard to judge without the comparison, but we’re pretty happy with what we saw. Humboldt-penguins, sea lions and tons of different birds, that I forgot the names of. I only remember the blue-footed booby that actually sports bright blue feet.

Tag 606 - Galapagos für Arme
Wir haben den Ballestas Inseln einen kurzen Besuch abgestattet um uns davon zu überzeugen sie ihrem inoffiziellen Beinamen „Galapagos für Arme“ gerecht werden. Ist natürlich schwierig das einzuschätzen ohne den direkten Vergleich, aber wir waren schon sehr zufrieden mit dem was wir dort alles bestaunen konnten. Humboldt-Pinguine, Seehunde und ein Haufen verschiedener Vögel, von denen ich mir die Namen nicht gemerkt hab. Außer einem, der Blaufußtölpel, der tatsächlich knall-blaue Füße hat.
