Day 577-581 - Just chillin'
Though Ecuador is a very beautiful country it’s cities are nothing it could brag about. At least that’s my opinion. Cuenca is one of the very few exceptions though. While strolling through the streets I immediately had a flashback to Mexico. This pretty colonial city really does feel like say Puebla or Morelia. And it seems that a different kind of people populate this area. We noticed right away how super friendly and open everyone in the shops and streets was. A good place to linger for a few days, get some work done and relax before the long haul through northern Peru.

Tag 577-581 - Einfach ma chilln'
Ecuador ist zwar ein wunderschönes Land, mit ihren Städten können sie allerdings nicht prahlen. Das ist jedenfalls meine Meinung. Cuenca ist da eine der wenigen Ausnahmen. Bei unserem ersten Stadtbummel hab ich mich direkt nach Mexiko zurück versetzt gefühlt. Die hübsche Kolonialstadt hat doch sehr große Ähnlichkeit mit Puebla und Morelia. Und scheinbar lebt in dieser Gegend auch ein anderer Menschenschlag. Sofort ist uns aufgefallen wie offen und außerordentlich freundlich die Leute auf der Strasse und in den Läden sind. Ein guter Ort um ein paar Tage zu verweilen, die Zeit zum arbeiten zu nutzen und uns vor dem langen Ritt durch Nordperu ein bisschen auszuruhen.
